US Star Dan Smalley Live in the Country Garden

A Sunday afternoon treat with Future of Country sensation Dan Smalley!

I just got back from Buckle and Boots in Manchester UK, and was blown away by a few exciting new artists, but Dan really “took the biscuit”. Quite simply, you HAVE to hear him sing live, and now we have a spontaneous opportunity to do just that here in Wettingen!

Alaskan born “military brat” Dan Smalley who came of age in Shreveport, Louisiana, may just now be making a name for himself, but the quality of truth and experience in his voice makes everyone want to sit up and listen.

Smalley expresses a fresh take on Country music that knows tradition, is inspired by the greats of the genre and is infused with the swampy sounds of his roots, the Gospel of hardwood church pews, and the impassioned delivery of Soul music. Artists like Merle Haggard, Ray Charles, Waylon Jennings, Al Green, Willie Nelson and Johnny Cash provided inspiration, while the against-the-grain success of Chris Stapleton, Jason Isbell, and Sturgill Simpson drew him to Nashville ten years ago.

Since then Smalley has written and/or performed with Willie Nelson, Allison Kraus, Turnpike Troubadours, Ashley McBryde, Tim McGraw, Carrie Underwood, Eli Young Band…. the list goes on!

His Debut EP IF I’M BEING HONEST came out in 2020 in the midst of the global pandemic, and his first Full-Length Record THE STATE OF COUNTRY MUSIC, was released independently just 2 weeks ago. It has already had almost half a million streams worldwide!

“If I’m Being Honest, He’s the Next Big Star. Smalley’s voice is crystal clear and smooth like butter.  The songs are so catchy and so instantly likable you want to tell all your friends about it.  It’s one of those records”.
